ELF Women’s Ministries – Study & Service (WMS)

Our ministry is dedicated to teaching the Bible to and serving the women in the communities of East Lake Buchanan. Our community outreach to the women in these communities includes:

• Bi-Weekly Bible Study – Lessons that resonate with women and encourage them to draw closer to God in their daily walk with Him
• “Ladies Day Out” – Women gather in Christian fellowship and spend a day visiting a special destination, such as Fredericksburg. It include a luncheon, site-seeing and shopping.
• Service – We collect an offering throughout the year that is used for charitable causes such as:

*Christmas Gift Bags for the Angel House children. Angel House is a soup kitchen for the homeless in South Austin. Our church members serve around 300 people lunch the third Friday of each month.

* We send flowers & gifts & cards to those in our church and community who are dealing with an illness, loneliness, or grief in their lives.

*When there is a need, we provide meals for church members and others who are convalescing.

*Community outreach/visitation: reaching out to new neighbors, families and those living alone in our East Lake communities.

*ELF Crafters: a group of our ladies who love to sew, who are creative, and love sharing their talents with others.
